The Syria Pet House

Giving Syria’s Stray Animals a Second Chance at Life

About The Syria Pet House

In Syria, life is difficult—not just for people, but for the countless stray cats and dogs struggling to survive. Years of war have made keeping pets a luxury, and cultural attitudes often see them as pests rather than companions. Without food, shelter, or medical care, these animals face heartbreaking hardships every day.At The Syria Pet House, we believe every animal deserves kindness, dignity, and a chance at a better life. Across our three locations, we rescue strays from the streets, providing them with food, medical care, and most importantly—love.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to changing the lives of Syria’s forgotten animals.Currently, we focus on urgent rescue and care, but we dream of a future where education helps shift perspectives—where cats and dogs are seen not as problems, but as pets.

Our Homes

Latakia Cat House – A small but loving shelter for 15 rescued cats.
Homs Cat House – Home to over 100 cats, giving them safety and care.
Homs Dog Farm – A haven for 50 rescued dogs.

How You Can Help

The need is great, and we can’t do it alone. The best way to support our work is through donations—every dollar goes toward food, medicine, and shelter for these animals.

You can also help by following us on Instagram and Facebook, sharing our mission, and spreading the word.

Our Pets

Every rescue has a story. Every animal we care for has known struggle—but now, they know love.At The Syria Pet House, our shelters provide a safe haven for over 150 cats and dogs who would otherwise face life on the streets. Each one has a name, a personality, and a heart full of gratitude. Some were abandoned, some were injured, and others simply born into a world that wasn’t kind to them. But here, they are family.
